Analysis of the technical characteristics of the restored part of the plunger pair of the diesel fuel system assembly

This article presents an analysis of the restoration of plunger pairs of a high-pressure fuel pump of a motor vehicle with a diesel engine and its operational indicators. At the same time, issues of economic efficiency, safety, comfort, and other operational indicators of vehicles, as well as ensuring the reliable operation of units, assemblies, and parts under various conditions, were also studied. Scientific research on increasing the wear resistance of parts and connections of high-pressure fuel pumps of vehicles with diesel engines was conducted, and it was established that the wear of plunger pairs has hydraulic-abrasive properties. To increase the durability of plunger pairs of high-pressure fuel pumps, regeneration technologies using nano-sized coatings have been developed, thanks to which it was possible to determine the values of surface accuracy indicators of regenerated plunger pairs. According to the analysis of the obtained results, it was established that the surface accuracy indicators of reconstructed plunger pairs are close to 94% compared to new ones.
