Abstract

This article describes the options for strengthening the slopes of flooded railway tracks, including the installation of reliable supports in the lower part of the embankment and the installation of a geogrid in the area adjacent to the roadbed, as well as the use of combined technologies with various filling materials in the flooded area and the upper part of the road.
It also discusses solutions for strengthening non-flooded railway bed slopes, and for slopes greater than three meters high, it recommends extending the geogrid from the edge of the slope to the roadside, as well as ways to simultaneously strengthen the road slope.
It also discusses solutions for reinforcing non-floodable railway bed slopes, and for slopes greater than three meters high, it recommends extending the geogrid from the edge of the slope to the roadside, as well as ways to simultaneously reinforce the road slope.
Methods for selecting the type of reinforcement structure for embankments of the earthen embankment, taking into account the availability of local materials for reinforcement work, the physical and mechanical properties of the embankment soil and the soil of the embankment base, weather and climatic conditions, the hydrological regime of water rise, and geometric parameters (height, slope slope ratio). are presented.
