The development of e-commerce in the field of passenger transportation by rail plays a key role in modernizing transport services and increasing their accessibility for passengers. The introduction of digital technologies such as online ticket sales, electronic travel documents, mobile applications, and automation of service processes can significantly improve the customer experience, reduce transaction costs, and improve the efficiency of railway companies. This paper examines the main directions and trends in the development of e-commerce in railway transport, as well as analyzes the challenges and prospects for further implementation of digital solutions to ensure high-quality and fast passenger service. Special attention is paid to data security issues, integration of modern platforms with existing infrastructures, and future innovative opportunities in this area.
