The article analyzes the reforms and measures implemented in the Republic of Uzbekistan to ensure the seismic safety of its population and territory. In recent years, the country has strengthened the legal and scientific foundations in the fields of seismology, earthquake resistance, and public preparedness for earthquakes. Within the framework of the main priorities for seismic safety, modern monitoring and early warning systems have been introduced, and the practice of assessing and electronically registering the seismic resistance of buildings and structures has been established. In addition, the activities of scientific laboratories have been expanded, increasing the effectiveness of seismological research. These efforts contribute to ensuring public safety and reducing the economic and social losses caused by natural disasters.
