This article presents a comprehensive study of the interrelationship between the chemical composition, mechanical properties, and microstructure of cast irons. Various types of cast iron, including gray, white, high-strength spheroidal graphite, malleable, and alloyed cast irons, were analyzed in terms of their chemical composition, mechanical properties, and how these factors influence phase formation, matrix structure, and operational performance.
